The Walk

Well we weren't the only brave souls turn up, although we didn't see anyone else walking their dogs except for one man running his by his car, lazy person!  Louie and Lucy and Nugget the foster dog were there, and Blue, who was adopted shortly after Beryl.  And also the lady interested in adopting and fostering arrived with her family:-)  I didn't take my camera because it was raining, but we all had a good time despite the weather.  I turned on the heater when I got home but the kids have scorned that and gone out to their couch in the sunroom which isn't at all warm and sunny today!!

Frankie is SUCH a gentleman ... he's got his end of the couch and Beryl has her end but Beryl's end happens to be opposite the dog door and if the wind is blowing towards the back of the house it does come through the dog door a bit.  Beryl did figure this out for herself and has been known to pinch Frankie's spot if she gets on the couch first and feels a breeze, lol.  Well, just now Frankie got on the couch first and lay up Beryl's end so she wouldn't get cold.  So I've covered them both up as I have to go out in this dreadful weather and visit a friend in hospital.
Frankie, the gentleman:-)

I'm sure that's an adoring, grateful look on Beryl's face:-)  Hopefully they'll stay there for a couple of hours til I get home.

Aww! They look snug as bugs in a rug! I wouldn't move from there if I didn't have to!

Same. It's a lovely old couch that would pull out into a double bed if there was room. I got it for $10 at the Salvation Army shop:-) They love it.

That is so sweet ;) No way that Bender would do that for Barbie!

I hate it when people run their dogs from their car. I was once in an accident caused by that. The dog ran out in front of another car, which swerved and hit mine. Luckily for me he just clipped my car before he rolled into a ditch. The dog owner (a patched gang member) shoved his dog into his car and took off. Fortunately no serious injuries - but it could so easily have been fatal, esp. as it was an open road area.

So do I, Sally. Why have a dog? The exercise is good for both of you. Not to mention the dangers as you pointed out. My kids would think I was crazy if I didn't get out there with them:-)
