Then after the photo shoot was over they started pestering me for a walk! But that won't happen til after lunch. I've got washing to hang out and lawns to mow first:-(

You're right! I had a total gush moment looking at them! Thank gosh we're not alone in letting the dogs lay on our old mattresses, too!

Yes, they are great pals ... as long as Frankie remembers Beryl is the boss, lol! I have to feed them separately as while Frankie is happy to share, Beryl isn't. He eats his meal in her crate. I'll often call him and he's in there already waiting patiently:-)
Gosh yes, old cot mattresses are great. I must get another one so they'll have one each. I do have a single mattress but that's a bit awkward to lug around. I like recycling stuff for my dogs (and me!)

Thanks Suzanne. I'd been toying with idea of a blog for a while but decided I wouldn't do anything til I came up with a title and mine came to me out of nowhere. Luckily I had taught Beryl to sit:-) And now I want a better camera so I can take photos like yours!!!
Good idea I may have to find an old mattress for dog bed on the porch. They look like best friends.
I do have a couple of high quality, very large, waterproof doggie bean bags but they both prefer the cot mattress:-) Which I have to remember to bring inside if it looks like rain! They are best friends, but if Frankie ever had to choose between Beryl and Lucy (pic at top of the page) it would kill him as he loves them both so much. And Lucy is Beryl's BFF. It's quite a 'menage de toi' .... you know what I mean, a threesome, lol!
